PendCon Advanced: Experiments for a Second Course in Dynamics and Control System Design
Hardware and Software Concept for the Experiments
Most of the HW is common to all pendulum experiments (the so-called basic hardware). The components of this HW are
- Stand
- Motor block with motor and high resolution encoder
- Electronic unit with pwm amplifier
- Target computer with NI 6024 DAQ card, Mea-surement Computing PCI QUAD04 encoder card and network card
- All necessary cables
Then, depending on the specific experiment, additional hardware and the software is necessary to make the experiment complete. In order to run the experiments, the user must have:
- a power supply
- a PC with Windows and a valid MATLAB/SIMULINK license and the following toolboxes:
- Control Systems Toolbox
- Robust Control Toolbox (only for the µ-Pendulum experiment and the -Double Pendulum experi-ment)
- xPC Target
